The latest statistics from the HMRC show the number of people who have signed up to donate to their favourite charity with Payroll Giving increased by 52,000 in 2018/19. Great news for charities! Payroll Giving is a way of giving money to charity without paying tax on it. It's paid through PAYE from an employees wages or pension. Free to set up and simple to implement - no wonder more employers are adopting the scheme.

Lung cancer is the UK’s biggest cancer killer and can affect anyone- men and women, young and old, smokers and non-smokers. On 21st July 1994, Roy Castle set off on his #TourofHope to fund for a brand new lung cancer research centre. He raised over £1m and had the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation named after him. This week is the 25th Anniversary of the #TourofHope with £12m raised for a brand new lung cancer research centre to help raise money for vital early detection research.

The 2019 National Payroll Giving Excellence Awards are now open! Deadline for applications is 5 pm on Sunday 15th September. There's no fee to enter and the awards ceremony is free to attend.
The shortlisted entries will be released in October, with notifications sent to all applicants. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Monday 18th November from 4 pm in Mercers Hall, Ironmonger Lane, London, EC2V 8HE. Shortlisted organisations will be invited to attend to...

We are very excited to announce our shortlist of finalists for Contact's Together at 40 Awards!
We were absolutely overwhelmed by the 500 nominations received. The judging panel were often moved to tears reading about the amazing things families do for each other and have achieved. It was a really difficult decision for our judges to shortlist the 25 finalists.
At Contact we often hear about when things go wrong for families, such as when they are struggling to get support for their child....
